Photo Grid Update
by Steve Testone on July 18th, 2011

Due to popular demand, we've added a new option to the Photo Grid block that allows you to keep photos at their normal aspect ratio instead of cropping them to a square. When they get cropped to a square thumbnail there was an issue with some vertical photos that was causing them to look blurry or pixelated. You can find this new feature when you select the "options" button on the Photo Grid properties menu.

Any plans to update the page layout options? It would be good if they were fully customizable as with Weebly i.e. not restricted to the imposed frameworks(2 columns, 3 columns etc.). This is the only real downside we have found with the product in terms of the core offering. Playing about with the photo grid is nice but in truth, if people don't like it, they can always embed Flickr apps, etc.

Yes this has been a heavily requested feature and I'm actively working on a solution for it.

When you click on a photo grid in the page editor you will see an "options" menu on the bottom menu. Click on this and then check or uncheck the "crop to square" option.
