Beta Update: Billboards and UI
by Steve Testone on October 5th, 2012

change fonts on billboard
We've added some new features to the billboard editor in the beta that you should know about. You can now change the vertical cropping of your images on the billboard slides (move pictures up and down). You can also change the fonts (about 50 to choose from) on the slides and alternate between white text on a black background and black text on a white background.
In addition to this you'll find that some of the UI elements (buttons and stuff)  have been updated to a newer fresher look. We are getting closer to rolling this out to all our users so be sure to keep the feedback coming!

I am unable to move my pictures in my billboard. They upload in a certain position and I am unable to move them. How do I get them to move?

Same thing here. I would also request a feature so I can zoom the picture (not the billboard) in or out, so I can see the whole picture and text on the side.

When you are editing the billboard and you move your mouse over the image, you should see a hand cursor appear. Then if you click and drag the image, it should move up and down and you move your mouse. If this is not working for you, let me know which browser you are using and I'll try to look into it further.

It looks like there was a bug that was not allowing you to move the image up and down when working on a new slide. This should be fixed now.

If billboards could click through to pages they are highlighting then these would truly be helpful. Is that in the works?

You should be able to add links to the individual billboard slides to accomplish this purpose. Let us know if this isn't working for you.

Since there is no way of completely disabling the billboard's controls I chose to hide them. Now if a visitor to my page chooses to use them, it totally messes up the text...

What are the various billboard sizes in pixels?

One feature of the old billboard editor I liked is that you could manually move your heading/text around on your it seems that you only have top center bottom/ right center left I missing something?
Also - is is possible to allow us to actually manage our image size on the that we can make the image larger or smaller within the billboard - right now only the billboard itself can be made larger and smaller ...or again, am I missing something??
